I’ve spent my whole KKD career working to stay original and true to myself. I’ve also spent a lot of time in my career being mad at those who weren’t working for that same thing. The last 12 months have been such a release for me. Letting go of the the hurt of other businesses specifically replicating mine. Peacefully unfollowing the ones that made me feel things I didn’t want to feel. Truly not caring about the numbers. Showing you guys the wins and the losses. And in that journey, I’ve built up my business similar to this pyramid. Amidst many collapses, I exist here with a sturdy base built by the friends and family that surround me. I have an ever changing core filled with KKDers who me. But most importantly, I sit at the top of my pyramid, constantly looking upon the way it changes and how strong it has become. That’s the thing about a business that holds your entire heart. It crashes OFTEN. It chips off one piece here, one piece there, leaving bits of your wellness scattered. But if your base is strong enough, and you’re willing to stay on your toes, you can balance until it’s steady again. Over time, documenting the pieces of you that scatter and themselves with something new, your pyramid tells a really beautiful story. You change with it. It begins to represent everything you are. And that’s when you feel pride; a feeling you don’t stumble upon, but you earn.
