“In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare (a prayer and a sacrifice) for You and watch and wait (for You to speak to my heart).”
—Psalm 5:3 .

“You did not wake up today to be mediocre.” —Unknown .

I don’t know who originally said the above quote but I really like it. Here’s the thing though, in my own strength and abilities, mediocrity is about all I can hope for. Maybe some people wake up and do awesome all day like it’s their job but not me. Not that I haven’t tried but it’s exhausting and a lot of work to just get to mediocre. With all that’s going on in our world, my heart’s desire is to love more, give more, serve more, but I can quickly grow weary from the constant effort. This is one of many reasons why I need a Savior; specifically, why I need Jesus. Among a multitude of other gifts, He provides strength when I am weak and He takes mediocrity and turns it into mind-blowing. All I have to do is ask Him for help. He can make a warrior from a weakling, a lover from a hater, and a saint from a sinner. (??‍♀️) That’s the beautiful truth right there: Jesus works in us while we rest in Him. So, time for God’s children to rise and shine because never before has our world needed the light more. .

“So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen (the wilderness) is temporary, but the unseen realm (the glory) is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:16–18 TPT .

‘I’m walking on air… God brings life… He rekindles burned-out lives with fresh hope, restoring dignity and respect to their lives’ (vv. 1 Samuel 2:1,6,8, MSG).

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” —Ephesians 3:20 NLT .
