“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Using this sun-drenched #moveitupmonday pic of a former remodel we did to shine some light on The 69th Annual National Day of Prayer which is this Thursday, May 7, 2020. This year’s theme is from Habakkuk 2:14: praying for God’s glory across the earth, in the Name of Jesus. Even though we won’t be be able to gather as in years past, I’m hoping millions will participate in praying for God to heal our hurting and broken nation and bring spiritual revival.

Yet, for all the darkness and devastation that has been left in the wake of the coronavirus, God has done marvelous and amazing things! Church doors closed? That can’t stop God from moving in response to His people’s cry for help. Reports of online attendance for churches throughout the our nation and the world has skyrocketed, people are hearing the Gospel like never before and they are responding in untold numbers. Are we are the cusp of the last great spiritual awakening before Jesus Christ returns? I hope so and all the more reason to pray without ceasing!

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” —Psalm 33:12

“I believe that prayer and faith are the thread that runs through every era of American history.  In 1775, the Second Continental Congress established a day of fasting and prayer.  In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln urged Americans to pray so that, as he said, ‘“the united cry of the nation [would] be heard on high and answered with blessing.’… I’d encourage you to, in these divided times, pray for America, for all of the American people. For I truly believe that those ancient words that Americans have clung to in much more challenging times than we could ever imagine in our day are still true today, that if His people, who are called by His name will humble themselves and pray, He’ll do like He’s always done through the long and storied history of this nation: He’ll hear from Heaven, and He’ll heal this land, this one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
—Vice-President Mike Pence
